Washington, DC: National Mall e destaques da cidade

O National Mall abriga os mais magníficos museus, e é um ótimo lugar para começar suas férias pela Região da Capital. Ouça as histórias e veja o artesanato dos primeiros americanos no museu Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. Os apreciadores de arte não podem perder uma visita à National Gallery of Art (Galeria de Arte Nacional). Igualmente, os National Archives (Arquivos Nacionais) são essenciais para qualquer fã da história americana. Ingresse em uma visita guiada à cidade, de bicicleta ou em um Segway!

Maryland: compras e cultura em Frederick e Hagerstown

Frederick tem se destacado em três séculos de história americana. Faça uma caminhada com guia ou vá você mesmo com um panfleto-guia e comece a descobrir essa fascinante cidade. Não deixe de visitar um dos 25 museus e locais históricos de Frederick County, tais como o National Museum of Civil War Medicine, o Schifferstadt Architectural Museum ou o santuário National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Lojas de especialidades, galerias de arte e antiquários completam o cenário.

Quando for comer, experimente o The Tasting Room, que combina a essência da histórica Frederick com o estilo moderno de Nova York. Não perca os incríveis murais em trompe l'oeil pelo centro da cidade, inclusive o Community Bridge Mural, localizado na Carroll Street entre a East Patrick Street e a East All Saints Street.
